Mission Statement
At Head & Hands we believe that the health of our entire community rests on the health of our community's youth. We envision a society in which all youth are participants and are inspired by the endless possibilities available to them.
About This Cause
Since 1970, Head & Hands has been committed to the physical and mental well-being of youth. Through education, intervention and referral, and in collaboration with other organizations, we provide medical, social and legal services and recreational activities to youth of diverse communities, free of charge. We also work with youth to help them define and take their place in their communities and society. Our approach is preventative, inclusive, holistic, and harm-reductive. We actively work to be accessible to marginalized youth. The basic services of Head & Hands are available to all youth between the ages of 12-25. These services include: Medical drop-in clinics Legal clinics and legal accompaniment services Teen drop in centre Young parents program Counselling services Tutoring program Emergency food pantry Street work Information and referral services Peer based Sex education Workshops (harm reduction, conflict styles, etc)
