About This Cause

The PREP Society is a not-for-profit that has been providing quality services to Down syndrome children 0-18 years and their families for over 30 years. We support families in their journey to enable their children to be integrated in home, school and community life. Our Early Learning Program provides a place for parents and their babies to come and meet other parents; learn early intervention strategies to help with speech development and occupational therapy techniques; and provides a place for babies to play. Our ECS Program gives children the skills they will need to be ready for entering Kindergarten in their community school. The K-6 and Teen Programs are for elementary. junior high and high school students. These programs focus on Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and social thinking. PREP's Reading Program is also available for our K-6 and Teen students. Our Teen Program gives teens an opportunity to learn critical speech, communication and executive functioning skills. The goal is to increase independence and responsibility in social settings.
