Mission Statement

The Alzheimer Society of Muskoka is a registered charity whose purpose is to provide meaningful support that helps people live well with dementia.

About This Cause

An estimated 564,000 Canadians are living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. By 2031, this figure will increase by 66% to 937,000. The financial impact of dementia goes well beyond the health care system, and year over year the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka must raise 40% of the cost to fund the many programs we offer in the regions of Muskoka and Parry Sound. The funding from Provincial and Federal governments is just not enough to meet the needs in our community, therefore we rely heavily on donations and fundraising events to keep these vital programs running in every community we serve. The Alzheimer Society of Muskoka provides education programs, support services and social & recreational opportunities to help people with all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, and their care partners to live as well as possible within their community, and to educate professional care providers and the public. Donating to the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka is investing in the health and well-being of person’s living with dementia in our community. Your gift helps us to provide the best care possible & support to those living with dementia.
