About This Cause
Al-Khoei Foundation branch in Montreal, Canada is currently one of the most active Islamic Centres in Canada which participates actively in affairs related to the Canadian Muslim community. A number of activities are held at the branch of the foundation in Montreal including: Religious meetings and ceremonies in different languages (Arabic, Persian, English and French) on a weekly basis. Religious classes in Arabic and Persian to teach the sciences of Quran (memorizing and recitation), Fiqh (jurisprudence), Aqaed (beliefs) and ethics. Cultural and religious activities for youth and children. Communication with other Islamic Centers in Canada and consultations with scholars about the religious and cultural affairs of the Muslim community. Organisation of conferences and hosting experts in the fields of education, religions, ethics and society. Addressing the religious and social needs of the local community such as religious Q&A, marriage and family affairs. An Islamic school and preschool. Al-Huda School and Pre-school One of the most important establishments of the foundation in Montreal is the AL-Huda primary and secondary school. The primary school was established in 2002 and since then has been recognized officially in Canada as a French teaching school. In 2009, the ministry of education in Quebec officially recognized the Al-Huda secondary school and experienced teachers were appointed to deliver high standard curriculum. Aside of the official curriculum and under supervision of the Ministry of Education in Quebec, a number of classes are taught including religion classes, Arabic, Spanish and English classes. Recognizing the importance of the school environment on the upbringing of children, the school ensured that the program and its regulations preserved the ethics and morals of Islam, and cultural and religious values are at the heart of its system. Pre-school In addition to the school, the Al-Khoei foundation in Montreal established a licensed pre-school that operates under supervision of the ministry of education in Quebec. In response to the needs of the families residing in Montreal, the pre-school was established in 2006 to receive children of 2-4 years old and support their parents in upbringing them in an attractive and safe environment.
