Mission Statement
Our mission at the Redcliff Youth Centre is to provide a safe, constructive, safe environment for youth ages 10-17 years old. Offering a wide variety of free educational & recreational programs and services focused on mental health, wellness and life-skill building. Our philosophy includes both a trauma-informed and strengths based approach, instilling values of inclusion and diversity. Creating a trusting respectful relationship, educating youth on the importance to express themselves in a healthy manner while respecting each others unique differences.
About This Cause
Our Centre focuses on enhancing our youth’s social-emotional wellbeing by offering a variety of free educational and recreational programs and services. Our programs and services are designed to be both structured and non-structured allowing youth to gain autonomy in at their own convenience. Having currently just over 360 registered youth, seeing on average 20-40 youth on a daily basis. Our goal is to provide youth with meaningful mentorship throughout their delicate years, incorporating them in constructive leisure activities that enhance their competency surrounding conflict, resiliency, self-care and healthy coping mechanisms. Through prevention and early intervention strategies, we empower youth through opportunities of leadership, mentorship, community and individual goal setting.
