Mission Statement

Our Vision: Every life lived to the fullest. Our Mission: We help people live in their homes and communities by delivering the caring support that they and their families need.

About This Cause

The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), is Canada’s longest standing home and community health care charity delivering a wide range of vital health and wellness services. Home Care – Our highly skilled VON nurses and personal support workers provide a full range of compassionate care and services to our clients and their families in the comfort of their own homes or in one of our community flex clinics. This includes intravenous and respiratory care, as well as palliative care services. Community Support Services (CSS) are an essential part of the picture for home and community care. These services provide the supports that people need to remain independently, confidently and safely in their home. Community support services are delivered by paid staff and volunteers who are the eyes and ears in homes of all types across the province and are often the ones who recognize when someone is at risk and may be in need of medical attention, or increased services. They play an important role in health prevention and promotion which keeps people out of emergency departments, moves them out of acute care beds faster and prevents them from going to long-term care before they need to. As a charitable organization, we rely on the generosity of the community to support a myriad of volunteer-driven programs and support services designed to encourage healthy aging, community building and independent living.
