About This Cause

The African Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES) is a registered charity committed to alleviating poverty in Africa through education. Since 1993, it has awarded scholarships to underprivileged students in Kenya, enabling them to access university, college, and technical education. Guided by principles of cultural respect, sustainability, gender equity, and efficient administration, ACCES ensures that program donations directly support the scholarship program. Over 4,200 students have graduated with ACCES’s support, pursuing careers that include education, business, health, and science. The organization not only transforms the lives of individual beneficiaries but also fosters progress in their communities. By empowering young Africans through education, ACCES facilitates societal development and long-term sustainability. It has transferred schools and programs to local organizations, focusing solely on scholarships for deserving students. Donors are integral to ACCES’s success. Their contributions have enabled countless students to achieve their goals, with several graduates returning to lead within the organization. This cycle of empowerment highlights education as a pathway out of poverty and a driver of community development. ACCES invites new donors to join its mission, ensuring continued success in transforming lives and advancing society through education in Kenya.
