Mission Statement
Parker Street provides food, furniture and emergency assistance for oil heating, power bills and prescription medication to those in need in the community.
About This Cause
Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank has been providing assistance to those in need in the Halifax Regional Community, encompassing Halifax, Dartmouth and surrounding areas, since 1983. We operate a food bank and a furniture bank as well as provide emergency financial assistance towards oil deliveries for heating, power bills and prescription medications. We also provide Christmas dinner hampers to those in need and assist families by providing backpacks full of the necessary school supplies for children going back to school.
