Mission Statement
LondonFuse is a not-for-profit organization that promotes art, lifestyle and culture in London, Ontario and beyond. We are a treasure map for London, with a focus on documenting and spreading the word about London’s unique culture and arts scene.
About This Cause
Founded in 2009, LondonFuse New Media Collective is a not-for-profit organization that promotes art, lifestyle, and culture in London, Ontario. A small organization with big impact, LondonFuse is 100 percent volunteer-run and is made up of a collaborative team of board of directors, partners, and volunteers. Our organization serves as a media incubator for local talent to hone their skills in content creation. LondonFuse accepts and trains up to 50 volunteers at a time to write, photograph, and produce video and audio for LondonFuse.ca. In exchange for their work, we offer workshops, one-on-one training, and seminars as well as feedback on their progress to becoming a skilled content creator. We are working toward an effective talent pipeline within London’s digital creative industry. Our contributor program fills a need in our community for both engaging local content and the opportunity for accessible skills development. In 2019, 97 content pieces were published on londonfuse.ca, our website was visited over 165 thousand times, our stories were read over 35 thousand times, and we reached over 500 thousand people through our social media channels.
