Mission Statement
The mission of the Halifax Cycling Coalition is to improve conditions for cycling for all residents of Halifax by providing events, education and advocacy support.
About This Cause
The Halifax Cycling Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for safe and comfortable bicycle infrastructure and has been removing barriers to cycling for over 10 years. Our work is primarily focused on the Halifax Regional Centre while considering the whole of Halifax Regional Municipality in our scope. We believe that cycling can be a tool for making our city more equitable by providing access to employment, education, and essential services. We also believe in supporting changes to our communities that promote safe, equitable, and accessible transportation options for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, emphasizing the needs of vulnerable road users.
