This non-profit organization provides the service for the senior citizens including donation raising, helping grocery shopping, entertaining the seniors, and organizing events to improve physical/metal health, etc.
About This Cause
The service purpose of the Newland Senior Service Centre(NSSC) is to provide various help and services to the elderly aged 60 and above in Calgary. Since COVID-19 pandemic, especially, The first three quarters of 2020 was a tough time for all Albertans, especially impacted the seniors' lives. NSSC fully understands seniors' situation and their needs. The organization initiated the board directors and volunteers to support the seniors in need in the pass months, such as raising donations, helping grocery shopping, and entertaining senior daily activities to improve their health and mental status. From the current situation, It will take time to eliminate the virus and the NSSC will continue to develop to provide more help and services to the elderly. Even if we return to a normal life in the future, NSSC will continue to serve the elderly as always.
