Mission Statement
Our mission is to save dogs from the risk of euthanasia in overcrowded shelters around the world, with our primary focus being Canada and the United States. When possible, PB & Chi also provides an alternative to the surrendering of dogs to local shelters. We strongly believe that rescue has no borders.
About This Cause
PB & Chi Dog Rescue Society is an all-breed, foster based dog rescue. Founded in 2013, the Society was granted Registered Canadian Charity status in 2018. We are committed to helping once unwanted dogs find their forever home. This includes providing proper medical care, training, and ongoing support to our dogs and adopters. In addition to saving dogs, our Society believes that by providing education on breed advocacy and dispelling misinformation, Breed Specific Legislation, the importance of spaying and neutering pets, and discussing ways that people can help make a difference to dogs’ lives, we will help make a difference in animal welfare in our country. This is all done solely on funds raised through adoptions and the generous donations from people who support our cause by gifting us the resources needed to provide to our rescues! We follow the mantra that "Saving one dog may not change the world, but it changes the world for that one dog," and we recognize that it takes the dedication of an entire community to save even one life.
