Activities in support of Purpose The activities in which the organization currently engages, and plans to continue, in order to fulfill its above-stated purpose are as follows: (1) Regular Services – The organization conducts an average of four (4) weekly church and meditation services, open to both members and the general public, with additional commemoration services to celebrate the lives of important figures in the Self-Realization Fellowship Church. There is no fee charged for participation in these services, although a collection plate is circulated to allow donations to be made. (2) Sunday School – On the first Sunday of each month, the organization runs a Sunday school with a Junior class for children between the ages of 6 and 10 and Senior class for children over age 11. Participation in the Sunday school is offered free of charge. (3) Speaking Tours – From time to time, the organization supports speaking tours by ministers from the International Headquarters of the Self-Realization Fellowship Church (located in Los Angeles, CA). Attendance at such speaking events is free, although donations are accepted by the organization before and after the event. (4) Silent Weekend Retreats – The organization conducts an annual weekend silent retreat off-site, where the participants can take time from their regular activities and focus on their spiritual progress through group meditation practices. In order to cover the costs of organizing such events, the organization charges an amount approximate to the average cost per participant while offering a subsidy for those who cannot meet the full cost. (5) Bookstore – The organization runs a bookstore, located at its registered address, for the purpose of providing its members and the general public with access to literature published by the Self-Realization Fellowship Church. Literature is sold by the organization to both members and non-members for an amount approximate to the cost for which it was acquired.
