Mission Statement
EMCO Charity : Mission: To empower and support mothers emotionally, mentally, and physically. It emphasizes the role of mothers in society. Educate them to be a bridge between their family and society in their new environment. Vision: A healthy Canada is dependent on a healthy family with a very strong mother role, and mothers play an important role in that. With education and support, we believe mothers can create a society with respect and dignity. Empowering Moms and Children Organization, is a registered as Charity organization that has been serving mothers and families since 2017. EMCO is registered at a federal level allowing us to extend our care and support for mothers all over the country. At EMCO we believe that a healthy Society requires a healthy family and a healthy happy mother leads to a stronger society. Through education and support mothers have the power to create a successful society that serves all, therefore our goal is to support mothers from all walks of life. We currently serve over 5000 mothers. Our support includes, but is not limited to, Single, newcomer, and refugee mothers. Our mission is to support and empower mothers emotionally, mentally and physically. Our goal is to emphasize mother’s roles in society and to educate and empower them so that they can be the guide between their family and society .Through our work and dedication, we aim to support all mothers in need. We believe that no mother should feel alone or isolated and without community. About 100 of our volunteers manage the organization's daily operations for families, delivering food, furniture, clothes, and basic living necessities.
About This Cause
EMCO (Empowering Moms and Children Organization) was registered as a charity organization in Canada. EMCO not only supports and empower mothers from pregnancy until senior years but also provides support to children up to the age of 18. EMCO organization has successfully educated and empowered many mothers through weekly workshops and monthly events. Mothers from walks of life have embraced our message: Healthy Mother, Healthy Family, Healthy Society. In the past we have provided workshops for children and mother ranging from various topics. Some of the topics included: -Stress and Anxiety Management -Parental Support program -Parenting workshop -Nutrition Workshop -Youth Leadership program -Motivation and Empowerment workshops -Healthy Marriage and Relationship -Self Care We also provide recreational activities for mothers that allow them to socialize and stay active. Some of the activities in the past have included: - Healthy body, Healthy mind by Hiking -Yoga & Meditation -Mothers day event Along with our workshops and programs we offer one on one support services, providing guidance on various community and government services. We also connect our mothers to appropriate supports and services that can further help them. At EMCO we guarantee if that our doors are always open for you, whether it be an emergency or friendly conversation. We want to create a strong community and it starts with you! Our services can only be improved with your support; without your support, we cannot run this huge organization and help the many mothers who request and need our help everyday. I have compiled a list of information about our charity. The Empowering Moms and Children Organization ( EMCO ) is dedicated to supporting diverse mothers by offering programs and services that help them break free from poverty and violence while fostering confidence and leadership. Your support can make a real difference in empowering mothers and providing them with access to the programs and services they need. For the past 6 years my Board Directors, Staff, Members, Volunteers and I have worked tirelessly to support mothers in need. The organization helps mothers find work, housing, marital support, mental health support, crisis support, and the list goes on. Most importantly our organization provides members a sense of community and belonging. We believe a healthy mother leads to a healthy family and a healthy society. Here are some stories from mothers who received support from our Organization: 1. It is with much enthusiasm that I am writing to recommend the "EMCO" as a great supporting team. I reached out to them two years ago back when my life was turning upside down as if someone had pulled the ground from under my feet. I needed guidance and emotional support on how to navigate through those nightmares and eventually come out of them. It was one warm sunny afternoon in July 2018 when I called the EMCO Organization. She patiently listened to my frustration and offered the emotional support that I needed at that very moment. Later down the road, EMCO also provided some free leads and points of contact that could be helpful for me. I'd like to express my gratitude and appreciation toward the EMCO Organization team for putting so much effort into creating and running this group on her own time and without any expectation for return. All I can say is simply "thank you" for all your support and I hope I can give back to the community to keep the momentum going. Lots of love, EM 2. EMCO has been born by mothers and its mission is to help mothers. I personally have been a member since the beginning. I loved the different workshops they have regularly. I have learned so many things about parenting, nutrition, psychology, and so many different subjects. They have had different gatherings for moms on different occasions like Xmas, Mother’s Day. I found so many good friends in this organization. In general, EMCO had a positive effect on me as a person and mom. Thanks to all who are involved in this great organization. 3. I would like to thank you for all the time, help, and effort the EMCO organization is doing for me. However the word “Thanks” can not describe how grateful I am to have support from you. With the kind and giving heart that you have, I cried several times. One night while I was so disappointed and I had no idea where and whom to talk about my dental medical problem which is a huge cost process and I can not afford it with the low income that currently I have, I decided to send a message to this Organization, the next morning she was replying and from that minute she always followed up with me, dentist and other people who might be helpful. She offered that the organization collects some money to start the procedure. Now I feel so good to know these angels, people who exist to help others with their warm hearts and giving hand. The world is a nice place to live with all of you. I feel that I am not alone anymore, and hopefully, I will be able to help others through your organization in the future. 4. EMCO Organization work is very valuable and at the same time very difficult, and it requires a strong and dedicated team of people who serve the organization without any expectations. I am sorry that my busy schedule does not allow me to work directly with the organization, but I hope that soon you will be able to have suitable people around you by receiving government grants. Dear EMCO Organization,Thank you so much for all your support during my difficult time in the new immigration here and empowering me with your great team. I was able to finish my college and get a job in Toronto. I was able to progress very quickly in my career and now I work as a lab supervisor in Vancouver. I believe that women have very high abilities and we must only be patient in hard times and adapt to the new situation . I am very confident in the abilities that women possess. Thank you!
