Mission Statement
At Parachutes for Pets we understand and celebrate the human-animal bond and proactively work toward building strong community support systems to protect the connection between people and their animals.
About This Cause
Parachutes for Pets is a Calgary Charity that assists the vulnerable population keep their pets amongst financial struggles. We provide pet food, medications and emergency veterinary care to the homeless, veterans, seniors, domestic violence victims, and AISH recipients. Pets provide an immeasurable amount of health benefits both physical and mentally to all individuals, especially the above populations. It's devastating if they are forced to euthanize or surrender their pet because they cannot afford the pets basic needs. Since COVID 19 we have delivered over 2000 food hampers to Calgary pets who would not have had a meal otherwise.
