Our mission as a not-for-profit organization is to help improve the lives of both Canadian and Sri Lankan communities through a variety of charitable projects. We strive to bring clean drinking water, provide undergarments to underprivileged schoolgirls ,therapeutic and holistic services to children with disabilities in Sri Lanka and food for homeless Canadians
About This Cause
Mission & Focus Sarvaam Foundation Canada is dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities in both Canada and Sri Lanka. Their core initiatives include: Supporting children with special needs and their families—primarily in Sri Lanka—through therapeutic 3 clinics Empowering girls by distributing essential undergarments to schoolgirls, fostering dignity and self-esteem. Improving health and hygiene via clean water projects in remote Sri Lankan regions. Assisting homeless individuals** across the Greater Toronto Area by providing healthy meal packs Origins & Structure Founded in 2017 by a group of friends moved by the challenges faced by children with disabilities in Sri Lanka. Over time, it evolved into a Canadian-registered charity run by a global volunteer network of over 200 youth and adult volunteers Incorporated federally in Canada on March 8, 2021 under the Canada Not‑for‑profit Corporations Act with CRA registration number 781726880RR0001 Key Achievements Distributed 10,000+ undergarments to schoolgirls by end of 2025. Operates three special needs clinics in Sri Lanka serving over 75 children, with plans to expand further in 2025. Successfully implemented clean water projects to improve living conditions in rural Sri Lankan communities. Provided 10,000+ “healthy brown bags” to the homeless in the Toronto area --- Charitable Purposes According to the CRA and third-party platforms, the foundation’s main charitable purposes include: 1. Relieving poverty by supplying food and essentials. 2. Promoting health through medical and therapeutic support for children and youth with disabilities in Sri Lanka. 3. Managing funds to support qualified donees under the Income Tax Act. 4. Undertaking other activities necessary to achieve these objectives
