Mission Statement

Myanmar is one of the poorest nations in Southeast Asia and suffers from a dire shortage of adequate educational facilities. Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation builds from 6-10 schools each year in rural villages in Myanmar with the support of Myanmar education officials, local villagers, teachers and construction crews. A key objective of our projects is to provide equal access to centres of education for both girls and boys. Fulfilling our vision expands the range of life opportunities for Myanmar’s rural children.

About This Cause

Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation (MBSPF) constructs safe and healthy educational infrastructure for impoverished children in rural Myanmar communities. From 2012-2024, MBSPF has built a total of 88 new school buildings that provide educational infrastructure for 13,000 children. Additionally, we have done renovations at 18 existing school buildings, built 32 teachers’ cottages and put in water wells and solar electricity as needed. Since 2017, we have also built 8 rural medical clinics. In 2025, we are planning to build 7-8 new schools, several teachers’ cottages and a medical clinic. We offer our assistance with the support of the Myanmar government’s education and health departments and the local villagers and teachers. Two Myanmar construction crews, one from the Mandalay area and the other from the Kalaw area, build all of our projects.
