Mission Statement

Delivering specialized therapy and innovative programs to help children reach their unique potential.

About This Cause

The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, incorporated in November 2007 by a group of dedicated volunteers, was established to raise community awareness and funds for the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent. It is the mission of the Foundation to enhance the financial sustainability of the Centre, thereby ensuring that children and youth from across the region with physical, developmental or communication needs continue to receive the therapy services they require to achieve their full potential. For nearly 70 years, the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent has provided quality care and therapy to children from birth through age 21, who have physical, developmental, or communication challenges. These services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, autism services, audiology, social work, respite, music therapy, and a variety of adapted recreational programs. Services are delivered through our Chatham campus and outreach hubs as well as through Full Day Learning sites situated throughout 10 Chatham-Kent communities. The CTC-CK provides in-Centre and outreach services, and connects clients and families with the appropriate community resources and connections. The CTC-CK provides an inclusive environment for children and families to develop their unique interests and reach their full potential, not only in-Centre, but also builds clients' physical, communication and social skills to allow for sustainable participation out of the Centre, and in our community.
