Mission Statement
Bethell Hospice provides compassionate, respectful care to enhance the quality of life for individuals facing a life-limiting illness and their families. Dignity and comfort are the cornerstones of care at Bethell Hospice. We offer round-the-clock care in our residential hospice, as well as a variety of community programs and services to support both clients and their families.
About This Cause
Our Bethell Hospice Residence provides personalized hospice palliative care, as well as comfort and support for family dealing with loss. Hospice services are an essential component of our health care system, focusing on individualized care and comfort. Our professional medical team provides pain and symptom management, comfort and care, all in a beautiful, tranquil environment. Each of our ten private resident rooms features wide doors that open directly to our beautiful gardens. Our professional team of Physicians, Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers specialize in palliative care. Nursing care is provided 24 hours a day. Support is also available to our residents and their families from our Social Workers and Psychosocial Spiritual Care Coordinators. Trained hospice volunteers are on hand to prepare customized resident meals, offer a variety of holistic services, and provide warms smiles and comfort. Bethell Hospice also offers a variety of community programs and services. Our professional team of Social Workers and Psychosocial Spiritual Care Coordinators are available to offer emotional care and support through all stages of a life-limiting illness. Bereavement care and grief support for adults, children and teens are available both one-on-one and in group settings. Trained hospice volunteers are also available to provide a variety of holistic services, as well as offer comfort through in-home visiting. Bethell Hospice receives partial funding through the Ontario Ministry of Health. To bridge the funding gap, Bethell Hospice Foundation must raise over $1,000,000 each year to ensure that all programs and services are available at no cost to residents, community clients and their families.
