Mission Statement

We provide care to pets in need by: Providing temporary homes until they can be reunited with their family through our Guardian Angel Program (GAP) Finding permanent homes for those who are surrendered or transferred into our care

About This Cause

Caring for companion animals while companions care for themselves. We understand. Pets are more than companions. They are family. We love them. And they love us back. It is a powerful, unbreakable bond. But what if you or someone you know need temporary help in caring for a pet? What then? And whom can you trust to take care of your family member? Since 2014, The CAWS has been taking care of pets while their owners take care of themselves. We call it the Guardian Angel Program. The circumstances may vary, from military deployment to natural disasters to domestic violence. And while the circumstances may vary, one thing is for certain. When you find yourself in need of help to temporarily take care of your pet, we will be there to help. We take pride in saying yes. Yes, we’ll be there to take care of your loving pet. Our greatest moment is when we reunite you with your pet. So when you are ready to move forward, when you are healthy and safe and determined to care for your pet, they’ll be waiting. And your pet will be excited for the reunion.
