Mission Statement

We want to achieve this by taking a holistic program approach to the communities we serve, by providing long term sustainable solutions in the areas of food, water, and education. When we focus on quality over quantity, we can create communities that are self-sustainable and lift others around them out of poverty.

About This Cause

Penny Appeal Canada has been fundraising for the victims of the Israel-Gaza war since hostilities broke out in early October. One of the things that makes Penny Appeal Canada standout from other charities who have been fundraising for this cause is that we have been able to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Red Crescent. What does this mean? This allows Penny Appeal to have priority on delivery trucks crossing the Rafah Border for our aid supplies. This benefits the people in Gaza as it allows us to deliver a consistent supply chain of relief items, including food, to cross the Egyptian border. Given that only a limited number of trucks are being allowed to cross the border, donors who donate to Penny Appeal can have confidence that their donations are reaching the people in need. Penny Appeal Canada has chosen a simple breakdown of donation options when they visit our website: $300 - Feeds 2 Families $500 - Provides Medical Aid to 2 Families $1,000 -Provides shelter to a family of 4 Custom Amount: Donor chooses a specific amount to donate Penny Appeal Canada also has campaigns on the LaunchGood platform where influencers crowdsource donations from their followers on our behalf. Step 2: Packed supplies from the Penny Appeal warehouse go to the Egyptian Red Crescent warehouse where they will undergo an inspection to ensure all supplies that are declared to be delivered are packed and loaded. Step 3: Trucks are then sent to an IDF checkpoint next to Rafah crossing, where the supplies will undergo a secondary inspection. Step 4: Once the supplies pass the secondary inspection, they are then put into a queue to enter Gaza through Rafah. Step 5: Once inside Gaza, Palestinian Red Crescent takes over and then distributes the supplies via our team on the ground in Gaza. Aid is currently being distributed in Khan Younis.
