About This Cause
From diagnosis to treatment, and beyond, Childhood Cancer Canada (CCC) has been a steadfast companion to children and families facing the devastating journey of pediatric cancer. Founded in 1987 by Edwina Eddy, who tragically lost her 17-year-old son to leukemia, CCC was created to address the unmet needs of children diagnosed with cancer and to fund critical research aimed at improving treatment outcomes and survival rates for young patients. Our unwavering vision is to ensure that no childhood is lost to cancer. We fulfill this vision by investing in life-saving and life-enhancing research while providing children and families with vital resources and direct support to help them navigate their cancer journey. Whether it's the child undergoing treatment, the parent or caregiver shouldering the emotional and financial burdens, or the entire family adjusting to the new reality, we are here for them every step of the way.
