About This Cause

The Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC) is Canada's only national charity providing leadership in education, awareness, and advocacy for individuals affected by ADHD and their families. CADDAC develops and delivers educational programming for adults, youth and parents affected by ADHD; actively advocates all levels of Canadian government for change that will benefit those affected by ADHD; provides one-on-one support and resources to individuals and families; and actively strives to increase the awareness and understanding of ADHD across Canada. ADHD affects 7%-9% of children and 3%-5% of adults in Canada, or approximately 2 million Canadians. It is hereditary and affects people from all ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. ADHD impairs one’s executive functioning which can create challenges with planning, organizing, motivation, attention, self-monitoring, and emotional regulation. Kind and generous donations to CADDAC help support essential programs and empowers individuals with ADHD to reach their full potential. In 2024, CADDAC delivered 97 programs to approx 5,000 individuals and families, provided one-on-one support to approx 2,000 individuals. Your support is vital as many individuals await access to these crucial programs. Join the ADHD Awareness Movement during ADHD Awareness Month in October.
