Mission Statement
Registered charity in Halifax, Nova Scotia dedicated to rescue of abandoned and feral cats. Rescue, vet, foster and adopt. Feral colonies fed 365 days a year. Forever foster program allowing cats with intense health issues to live a full life in foster care with HCRS paying vet bills.
About This Cause
We are a small group of very dedicated volunteers. We rescue, rehabilitate, foster and adopt otherwise abandoned cats to responsible new owners. We vet and care for many dozens of feral cats and their colonies, feeding them 365 days a year. We offer a forever foster home situation for cats with health issues that would otherwise be put down or unadoptable. In forever foster situations, we have a responsible forever foster home that 'adopts' the cat while HCRS takes care of vet bills for them. This offers a real quality of life for the ill cat and often prolongs their lives in meaningful ways!
