Mission Statement

Franklin Horner Community Centre has served the residents of the South Etobicoke for 30 years. The Centre is a registered non-profit charitable organization, and supports programs and services for seniors, enhancing both their mental and physical well being, and breaking down the barriers to social isolation. We run food, educational, physical, art and recreation programs for over 800 seniors daily, 7 days per week e.g. cards, bingo, lunches, yoga, moderate exercise classes, folk art, dance, elder abuse awareness sessions, well-being seminars and mental health awareness. Along with program and meeting space for community organizations, groups and individual members. Franklin Horner's commitment to providing a home for the community to come together and grow makes it "One of a Kind".

About This Cause

Establish and operate a community centre serving the Alderwood and South Etobicoke communities. The community centre will provide program and meeting space to community groups, as well as broker or deliver a range of social recreation, sports and leisure programs to the following populations: families with children under 6, youth, seniors/older adults, and newcomer groups. FHCC is committed to being a space where people from all backgrounds can gather, share, and learn from one another. Community space is limited, especially for groups serving people with limited resources such as individuals from diverse communities.
