Mission Statement
Diaspora Dialogues supports diverse Canadian writers in making their craft a career. We do this through publication, presentation, mentorship and community building.
About This Cause
Our free mentorship program, pairing emerging authors with established writers, in conjunction with professional development seminars and presentations, as well as our TOK Magazine electronic platform, provides support to underserved communities seeking to tell their own stories and narratives to the world. For thirteen years, DD’s core mission has been to support emerging writers, the majority of whom are 18-35, from diverse and Indigenous communities to tell their own stories, in their own voices. More than 400 new literary works have been created through DD programs, 250 events produced and a live audience well in excess of 150,000 Canadians has attended those events.
