Mission Statement
Global Kingdom Ministries' mission is to be... ...a community of believers loving God and loving people (Matthew 22:36-40; Luke 12: 29-31) ...a missions-minded community declaring God’s Kingdom principles and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28: 19,20) ...a community demonstrating the power of God’s Kingdom by bringing good news to the poor, proclaiming freedom to the captives; healing the bruised and broken; and announcing the favour of the Lord (Luke 4:18,19) ...a community feeding the hungry, caring for the orphans and widows, and being fathers to a fatherless generation (James 1:27) ...a community equipping apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, and evangelists to establish God’s Kingdom purposes in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and all nations (Ephesians 4:11)
About This Cause
Ours is a wonderful heritage! It has been evident, right from its inception, that God has ordained this ministry as a global outreach. From its humble beginnings over 50 years ago, when we were formerly known as Scarboro Gospel Temple, the congregation was committed to reaching the world and bringing in the end time harvest. And our vision has never wavered. We are in awe at the way He has led us to where we are today. Our new facility is only an outward indication of all for which the Lord has been spiritually preparing this congregation. But now we sense the impetus: now is the time! We are going places – here in Scarborough, Canada and all around the world – and as we go we are making disciples. We are a community of missions-minded, multi-cultural believers celebrating our shared identity in Christ. And we welcome you to join us as we demonstrate the power of God to the world. The Spirit of the Lord is upon us, to bring good news to the poor, to heal the bruised and broken, to proclaim freedom to the captives, and to announce that the time of the favour of the Lord has come (Isaiah 61: 1,2). It is our desire for you to find a place of community here among God’s people. And we are committed to equipping you, through every ministry at GKM, to help establish God’s Kingdom purposes worldwide. So – come to be transformed. And then go out from here to transform others!
