About This Cause
Lionheart Foundation (formerly Juno Foundation) is a catalyst for highly effective adolescent mental health care, specifically anxiety related issues such as depression, eating disorders and self-harm. Our purpose is two-fold: 1. To enhance access to specialized treatment for teens and their families; 2. To create space for the dissemination of research and best practices, shared learning and connection. At Lionheart Foundation we offer the following: - Financial subsidies to families and therapists to alleviate the pressure of therapy costs. - Professional Training and Development workshops and conferences for mental health professionals (therapists, counsellors, psychologists, nurses and doctors). - Adolescent mental health awareness and education for parents, teachers and coaches. - Advocacy for effective adolescent mental health programs, practices and policy.
