Mission Statement
The Upside Foundation enables founders of early-stage, high-growth Canadian companies to build social responsibility into their busienss by pledging equity to the charity of their choice and joining a community of like-minded entrepreneurs. We manage giving for startups from end to end, through fundraisers and campaigns to donations at the time of exit.
About This Cause
The Upside Foundation of Canada is a public foundation registered under the CRA. The Upside vision is a startup and innovation sector that shares its success with communities to build a thriving economy that benefits all. Through binding equity pledges at the capital tables, personal contributions, and funds, the Upside enables Canadian startups, scaleups and Venture Capital firms to give back as they build. Founders and companies work with Upside to select charities of choice based on values alignment and impact measurement to maximize donations.
