Mission Statement

Safetynet works with families that are struggling financially, assisting with a number of programs. We offer free clothing for families, including business attire for men and women reentering the workforce. As well we offer free furniture, housewares, diapers to families. Safetynet provides one to one tutoring and music lessons to children and youth.

About This Cause

Safetynet is a Charity that provides services to families, youth and children. These families may be referred by other social services, or by self-referral. The Charity’s focus is to work with youth and families that, for one reason or another, are struggling in managing their daily lives. Our goal is to provide assistance and support, by teaching the required life and coping skills, encouraging independent living, and self-reliance. We have endeavoured to initiate programs that will assist families and youth, but will also inspire them with courage, spirit, and confidence to overcome their present difficulties. An initial needs assessment to help develop a plan with families can be set up to strategize which of our programs can best be utilized to help them alleviate their circumstances These programs include clothing bank, and diaper bank Tutoring program that will provide services to children or youth struggling with their academics. All tutoring is conducted by volunteers on a one-to-one basis Music lessons will be offered to children/youth who have and interest or aptitude in music, but whose parents cannot afford lessons.
