About This Cause
The Yellow Bus Foundation (YBF): Enriches the lives of Canadian youth and children who need it most. YBF believes all youth can be valuable contributors to their community. We are truly grateful to those that give us the ability to make a difference. This past year, YBF targeted 3 schools identified in a report prepared by the Toronto District School Board as the neediest schools in the city. Working directly with the Principals, our Board Members visited each of these schools in person and have seen first-hand the needs that are very evident, including food insecurities being a top priority. In addition, we are partnered with Blake Boultbee Youth Outreach, Childhood Cancer Canada, Jack.org, Power To Be Adventure Therapy, Jack.org, Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity, Kids Up Front and 13th Round Fight For Life. We know first hand that we are making a BIG impact. Every dollar raised in this year’s charity auction will go directly to support those children and families we serve. On behalf of The Yellow Bus Foundation Board of Directors – thank you. Now celebrating 28 years, the Golf Marathon is our annual fundraising event. Organized by volunteers, the Marathon has raised over $11M to date for children’s charities. Approximately 40 golfers participate, raising over $800,000 last year. Participants are challenged to play 100 holes of golf. Over the course of 12 hours, plenty of food and drinks are provided to keep everyone going - along with a healthy supply of golf balls
