Mission Statement
Lurana Shelter Society provides innovative, specialized services that help abused individuals and their children transform their lives and break the cycle of violence. Comprehensive services are provided through four programs.
About This Cause
As of January 2018 four programs are offered: Lurana Shelter - a twenty-one day emergency shelter program for women with or without children fleeing domestic violence. Innovative Child Care - Child Care program specifically designed to provide therapeutic intervention for children who have experienced domestic violence and emotional trauma. Outreach Services - Our Adult, Youth and Community Outreach programs provide support for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence who have not been in shelter, those transitioning out of shelter and individuals who want to support a friend or family member who is in an abusive relationship. Intensive Case Management - Our Intensive Case Management (ICM) Team provides comprehensive wrap-around services that support women and children in shelter or transition from the shelter to the community.
