Mission Statement
Since The Hub opened their doors in 2003 the mission has been to strengthen capacities and encourage the best possible development of families throughout our municipality. The Hub offers skills and tools for parents to ensure the best possible development of their young children.
About This Cause
The Hub Family Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization, offering free programming and services to families in Wood Buffalo. Most services offered at the Hub are targeted towards children newborn to six years old and their families; however, in 2020 the Hub expanded caregiver education and system navigation services to support families with children ages 0 to 18 years old. Since the Hub opened in 2003 the mission has been to strengthen capacities and encourage the best possible development of children and families in Wood Buffalo. All programs are free and designed to encourage positive interactions between children and parents/caregivers, promote community connection and socialization, encourage healthy development, and prevent family violence and child maltreatment.
