Mission Statement
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice provides innovative, holistic clinical care with compassion through our hospices, in hospitals and communities in BC/Yukon. We provide respite, family support, pain and symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement services to newborns, children, youth and their families living with progressive life-threatening conditions.
About This Cause
When a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, making the right decisions can be very difficult. The 24-hour care impacts mental and physical health, quality of life, and can influence financial pressures, relationship challenges, fatigue and distress levels for families. The Canuck Place care team recognizes the challenging transition patients and families must make as the focus shifts from cure to comfort and symptom management. Canuck Place cares for the entire family. The clinical team designs a care plan that includes the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of each child.
