We at Indian Residential School Survivor Society (IRSSS) strive to provide physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual growth, development, and healing through culturally-based values and guiding principles for Survivors, Families, and Communities.
About This Cause
The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) provides cultural, spiritual and emotional support to promote the healing of survivors and intergenerational survivors of Indian Residential Schools; families and others impacted by Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG); families and others impacted by Missing and Murdered Indigenous Men and Boys; cultural health and healing for youth impacted by the over-representation of Indigenous peoples in the criminal justice system; and individuals impacted by Day School, '60's Scoop, and Indian Hospitals. The Society also provides education on residential schools, impacts of colonization and reconciliation with schools and organizations.
