Mission Statement

Pet Patrol is an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit organization in the KW area that rescues, cares for, and adopts cats and kittens. We are no-kill and rely solely on donations.

About This Cause

Pet Patrol is an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit organization in the Kitchener – Waterloo area. We began in 1996 in recognition of the overpopulation problem of felines in our community. We give cats a second chance and an opportunity for a full life as we are NO KILL. Pet Patrol helps cats that have been abandoned, ill or homeless, to find new homes. We are a registered charity and rely solely on donations to cover our extensive veterinary costs, which are over $60,000 per year. We receive no assistance from our municipality or government. Pet Patrol does not believe an animal should be euthanized if they are unwanted or ill and can regain their health. We do everything in our capacity to make sure that all opportunities for the cat are met. We not only rely on conventional veterinary care, but also chiropractic care, homeopathy, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, specialized dentistry and allergy testing. At pet patrol we rescue cats and kittens, provide loving foster homes, a loving cat sanctuary, vet care, chiropractic care and a Spay/Neuter program. We also provide a Commitment to the Heart program for our elderly, medically complex and not ready for adoption kitties. We do not euthanize them, even when faced with high medical bills. As long as the cat is not suffering and can still enjoy life, Pet Patrol will provide ongoing medical care, a good foster home, and a lot of love. We also work to educate the community on the proper care of cats and provide information aimed at reducing the homeless cat population in the KW and surrounding areas.
