About This Cause
The Gurdwara Singh Sabha Society of Victoria is a non-profit organization established in 1999, to provide means and opportunities for the practice and promotion of revealed knowledge for the Sikhs and Sikhism from Holy Sikh Scriptures. Occasionally, our congregation invites renowned Sikh priests and scholars to visit out temples for preaching and teaching purposes. They provide spirituals uplift to the congregation through their teaching programs. Provide help and Langar. Langar is the communal meal shared by all who come to the gurdwara, and it has been a part of Sikh community since the time of Guru Nanak. Attendees all sit at an equal level on the floor and eat the same food, prepared in the same pots. In this way, langar serves as a ritualistic expression of the equality of all humans.
