Mission Statement
Rooted in the community since 1991, Maison Parenfant des Basses-Laurentides is a family resource centre located in Boisbriand. It is open to parents from all regions and their children aged 0 to 12. Our mission is to provide a favourable environment to the individual, collective, and community development of parents and children. We wish to support new parents and those with more experience, encourage development of parent-child relationship, allow parental respite to encourage physical and mental health of parents and also children, and create social occasions for mutual aid and friendship between families. Maison Parenfant shares values of the community movement, namely solidarity, mutual aid, autonomy, and respect for everyone. We promote healthy eating habits, outdoor play, reading and language, an easy school transition, screen breaks, and co-parenting.
About This Cause
We offer a variety of workshops, respites, and social activities. For many of us, once we become parents, a primary need is to get out of the house and meet people. By participating in our workshops and social activities, you will be able to create a network of friends, in addition to experiencing solidarity, as well as a rich community life.
