About This Cause
Welcome you to Unionville Home Society (UHS). We have been providing services to seniors for over 50 years in this community. Our organization was founded by a group of very dedicated volunteers in 1967 who sought to improve the services available to seniors in the Unionville community and to build a long-term care home. To this day we are a non-profit organization supported by a volunteer Board of Directors. many of whom work and live nearby. Our campus includes Union Villa long-term care home; Wyndham Gardens life lease apartments and the Unionville Community Centre for Seniors. We also have an adult day program and provide geriatric outreach services. Our reputation as a leader in seniors’ services has been built by our commitment to quality care and is delivered by our compassionate staff and volunteers. The Unionville Home Society Foundation operates as an arm of Unionville Home Society and reaches out to the local and corporate community on an annual basis seeking financial support so that we can continue to make the Union Villa long-term care home and our other facilities a wonderful home for the seniors entrusted to our care. For more than 50 years, the Unionville Home Society has inspired hope and contributed to the health and well-being of our residents by providing an innovative and accessible continuum of exemplary care and services that respond to the community’s changing requirements and expectations of long term care. As a not-for-profit organization, UHS invests its philanthropic gifts into improving the quality of our long term resident care. These gifts provide essential support as we invest in programs and services that will enrich and enhance our residents' experience.
