LETHBRIDGE PEOPLE FOR ANIMAL WELFARE (PAW) SOCIETY

LETHBRIDGE, Alberta, T1J 3Y5 Canada

Mission Statement

Also known as the Lethbridge PAW Society, its goal is to place each of its rescued cats in an appropriate and loving home for the remainder of its life. While the Society searches for adoptive homes, rescued cats reside temporarily in foster homes. Foster space is very limited as we are a no-kill group and cats will remain in their foster homes until they are chosen. Experienced adoption counselors meet with prospective adopters to understand their needs and to assure the cat will be a good match for their family.

About This Cause

Most of the cats in the PAW foster system are adults. Adults are at the highest risk of being abandoned or taken to municipal or city animal shelters. Once a cat is accepted into the PAW Society's rescue system, it is spayed/ neutered/vaccinated and other apparent health care needs are addressed. Veterinary and food/litter expenses are significant. Adoption fees do not cover all costs. PAW's volunteers work very hard at fundraising but even so, PAW could not continue to operate without financial support from generous individuals such as yourself.
