PEREGRINE FALCON RECOVERY PROJECT (MANITOBA)

Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3P 2G9 Canada

Mission Statement

The Manitoba Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project has been working to re-establish a self-sustaining wild population of peregrine falcons since 1981.

About This Cause

The Manitoba Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project began in 1981 to reintroduce peregrine falcons in the province of Manitoba. Extirpated below the 60th parallel in North America, Canada and the USA began regional recovery projects to reintroduce captive-bred peregrine falcon chicks into the wild. Since its inception, the Project has been responsible for the release of over 350 captive-bred and wild-hatched peregrine chicks in Manitoba. We are a grassroots, volunteer-run conservation organization and have been a Canada Revenue Agency registered charity since 1998.
