Mission Statement

Our Vision: "Respiratory Welllness for all British Columbians"

About This Cause

Founded in 1945 by Veterans returning from the Second World War, TB Vets Charitable Foundation (TBV) is a respected BC Charity and community leader in the fight against illnesses. Originally TBV did not seek donations, rather it relied on a fair exchange of fees for service, employing disabled Veterans so that they could support themselves and their families with dignity. The fees for service were applied to BC's original Key Tag return program which has returned well over 510,000 lost keys to British Columbians. Over the past two decades, TBV has granted over $11 million to help fellow British Columbians with respirastory illnesses. TBV awards grants for:critical respiratory equipment in hospitals and health centers; respiratory research at BC Universities; busaries supporting respiratory therapist education at BC Thompson River University; life-saving search and rescue equipment; youth asthma day camps; and other programs to improve respiratory wellness for all ages.
