About This Cause
MaRS Discovery District is North America’s largest urban innovation hub, supporting 1,200+ tech startups across Canada to solve some of society’s toughest problems in areas like climate, health and the economy. MaRS is a charitable nonprofit with 20+ years of experience in scaling innovation. We offer a diverse range of programs and services that support inclusive and meaningful innovation and that drive commercialization and adoption of new technologies. We also work with corporate and government sectors to break barriers to adoption of health and climate innovation. Finally, we run programs that take a systems change approach and look to foster a more inclusive and dynamic innovation ecosystem in Canada. This work has led to breakthroughs across industries, creating jobs, and accelerating the shift towards the creation of thriving and sustainable communities across Canada.
