Mission Statement

The Bonnyville & District SPCA primary mission is to help strayed, abandoned, abused, surrendered and unwanted dogs and cats find a loving and forever home

About This Cause

On an ongoing basis the SPCA helps to return lost pets to their owners, helps families with the sometimes traumatic experience of surrendering pets, allows handicapped people who can not own their own pets to visit the shelter, cuddle kittens, pet puppies, walk dogs and help with small chores around the shelter in a comfortable and non-threatening atmosphere. The SPCA provides many other community volunteers a chance to interact with animals, feel part of the organization and make a difference in the lives of shelter animals. The Bonnyville & District SPCA is a very user friendly place were clients looking to adopt can spend time with their pet of choice and even take them home for a sleepover to ensure they are compatible with the new home, family and other pets. All children love the SPCA! Their visits are positive learning experiences, and the information they take back home is shared with parents and friends, creating good community awareness.
