Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts & Culture is a creative hub at the forefront of bringing visibility to & celebration of the vibrant Filipino-Canadian community.
About This Cause
We create a brave space for Filipino-Canadian youth, both second generation and newcomers, to overcome multiple barriers that prevent them from meaningful engagement in society. With a gift to Kapisanan, you are creating a space where youth can bravely activate their creativity to explore identity, foster pride and self-confidence, inspiring and empowering them to realize their full potential. Armed with an appetite for creative endeavours and community advancement, here at the K, we eat art and inspiration. WE ARE CANADA'S FIRST & ONLY HUB THAT IS LED BY, GOVERNED BY, & FOR YOUTH OF PHILIPPINE DESCENT. Kapisanan is a brave space which integrates an anti-oppression framework for young Filipinos to express their voices, exchange ideas and explore their roots together as an empowered community. Since 2005, Kapisanan has provided life-changing programming for Filipino community in the Greater Toronto Area.
