Mission Statement
The Foundation is managed by a nine member volunteer board, all residents of the community. All work is done by the directors through committees as there is no paid staff. The board is committed to maintaining high standards of performance and transparency. The board is accountable to direction from the members through an Annual General Meeting.
About This Cause
The Chemainus Health Care Foundation is a non-profit, charitable society formed in 1988 to manage funds donated by the Community. The Foundation supports the Chemainus Health Care Centre consisting of a 75 bed complex Residential care facility, an Urgent care including X-ray and Physiotherapy, an Adult Day Program as well as some community health related projects, including education. 100% of the funding is through public donations. .
