To provide the extras that Alberta Health Services does not provide to our community Healthcare Center
About This Cause
We are a local community group that raise funds for our Mayerthorpe Healthcare Center. We go around one a week to the Auxiliary Residents, and to the active treatment Hospital, to visit and sell confectionary items. We also have a cabinet that people can buy donated handmade knitted/crochet items as well as confectionary items. We also supply a comfort kit to those persons admitted with no personal hygiene supplies. All money raised goes to buying items that AHS doesn't provide, eg waiting- room Chairs, Televisions, Palliative Care Room, Equipment and Appliances. We pay for busing for the residents to go on outings. All donations stay local and monetary donators are given a tax deductible receipt.
