KidsAbility Foundation raises public awareness and financial support from our community in partnership with KidsAbility Centre for Child Development to empower children and youth with special needs to realize their potential. It is only through the generous support of our community that more children have access to the high-quality care and support services that they deserve and need to reach their potential at KidsAbility. About This Cause
KidsAbility Centre for Child Development provides rehabilitation services for children from Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington from birth to school age exit and is one of 23 Children’s Treatment Centres in Ontario. Therapy services include physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, autism services, orthotics clinics, seating and mobility clinics and therapeutic recreation. KidsAbility offers families support through our social work department and houses and large resource centre and lending library. We are a dynamic, multi-faceted organization, servicing children living with disabilities. This includes children with developmental disabilities and delays related to premature birth, medical syndromes such as Down syndrome, coordination disorders, and autism; physical disabilities such as muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and cerebral palsy; and communication difficulties in language, articulation, fluency and voice. Last year over 17,000 children and youth with disabilities received the help that they needed to realize goals important to them at home, at school and in the community. Donations allow KidsAbility to serve an additional 1,000 children and youth with special needs each year. With your support, we can help more children to live richer and fuller lives.
