About This Cause
Created in 1983, the CHU Dumont Foundation supports the vocation of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Over the years, the Foundation has raised more than $71 million. Designated as a public charitable foundation, the organization represents the hospital among its staff, the community, volunteers and donors. The CHU Dumont Foundation was instrumental in building the Mgr-Henri-Cormier Lodge and in completing the restoration of the dialysis unit. The Foundation has also supported the purchase of specialized equipment as a surgical robot, and has enabled training for subspecialty teams of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Over the years, the money raised by the CHU Dumont Foundation has helped complete many other key initiatives. These projects have greatly improved services offered at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre.
