Mission Statement
The Youth Foundation of the DPJ: an ally to open the field of possibilities Too often locked in prejudice, the youth of the DPJ do not allow themselves to step outside their reality which they wrongly perceive as normal. In their wounded child and teenager minds, they believe that they are not worth putting any hope in. They will not allow themselves to dream, well, not too much, like other kids their age. The future is anything but bright and inspiring. This is where the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ, formerly known as the Fondation du Centre Jeunesse de Montréal, comes in and can transform a young person's vision of their future. By opening a window. By turning on a light. By igniting that spark that can change everything...
About This Cause
La Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ : l’alliée pour ouvrir le champ des possibles Trop souvent enfermés dans des préjugés, les jeunes de la DPJ ne s’autorisent pas à sortir de leur réalité qu’ils perçoivent à tort comme une normalité. Dans leur tête d’enfant ou d’adolescent blessé, ils croient qu’ils ne valent pas la peine qu’on mette un quelconque espoir en eux. Ils ne se permettent pas de rêver, comme les autres jeunes de leur âge. Le futur est tout sauf ouvert et inspirant. C’est là que la Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ, anciennement la Fondation du Centre Jeunesse de Montréal, peut transformer la vision qu’un jeune aura de son avenir. En ouvrant une fenêtre. En allumant une lumière. En créant ce petit déclic qui peut tout changer…
